Find out about our community and private/mobile Sensory Dance sessions for adults with additional needs and disabilites. Sensory Dance Sensory Dance – Funded by Sense In 2025, we were delighted to receive funding from Sense to reintroduce Sensory Dance to our local community in Spalding. This funding supported hall hire and staffing costs for an initial 10-week block of inclusive dance sessions beginning in January 2025. Designed specifically for adults with complex disabilities, Sensory Dance offers engaging, accessible, and creative movement experiences that promote self-expression, physical activity, and social connection. The sessions are carefully structured to be inclusive, adaptable, and responsive to a wide range of sensory and support needs. With a strong focus on sustainability, a modest participant fee was introduced, enabling us to self-fund a second 10-week block starting in April 2025. The sessions now run weekly, continuing to provide a joyful, safe, and enriching space for participants to explore movement and connection through dance. We are grateful to Sense for their support in helping us re-establish this vital programme and for enabling us to build a model that continues to thrive beyond the initial funding period. - For Parkinson's Disease | Adults Move Lincs
Movement to Music for Parkinson's Movement to Music for Parkinson’s – Funded by Parkinson’s UK From November 2023 to May 2024, we were proud to deliver Movement to Music for Parkinson’s—a community-based project generously funded by Parkinson’s UK. The initiative was designed to enhance the physical, emotional, and social well-being of people living with Parkinson’s in the South Holland area. Thanks to this funding, we were able to establish and run a weekly movement class in Holbeach, tailored specifically to the needs and abilities of individuals with Parkinson’s. The programme reached approximately 20 participants, fostering connection, confidence, and improved mobility. Importantly, the grant also supported the training of a new instructor, ensuring the sustainability of the sessions beyond the initial funding period. To extend the project’s reach and long-term impact, recorded sessions and exercise videos are now permanently available below, providing ongoing support and accessibility for people living with Parkinson's Disease. While there was already clear evidence of the need for this type of service in our area, the project also highlighted the deeper barriers faced by people living with Parkinson’s. Many participants shared challenges around transport and maintaining independence, alongside a lack of accessible mental health support. To help address these ongoing barriers, we created free YouTube videos which can be accessed via the link below. We now offer private at-home sessions within the South Holland area — fully tailored to each individual’s needs, schedule, and abilities. We also provide private sessions for organisations supporting people with Parkinson’s , ensuring that more people can access the benefits of movement and connection, wherever they are.
