- Sense in Motion | Adults Move Lincs
Sense in Motion Diamondz School of Dance & Adults Move Lincolnshire are collaborating to facilitate ‘Sense in Motion’ - A 16 week dance project working with individuals with SEND & their support workers at Sense Centre Pinchbeck, creating a creative movement piece that includes everyone. This project was funded by a local Co-op. It has been filmed, edited and ended in a cinema-style sharing in September 2023. We have seen huge benefits to the participants, from increased mobility to focused engagement they do not always have in other activities. Dance is not only a form of physical exercise, but a creative outlet, enabling participants to express themselves and their emotions.

Adults Move Lincolnshire (AML) was founded by Bekki in April 2021 and became a CIC in April 2023, continuing to operate today with a focus on creating inclusive, accessible movement opportunities for adults across Lincolnshire. AML was born in response to the social isolation and mental and physical health challenges many adults experienced following the Covid-19 pandemic, combined with a perceived lack of local activities for young adults and the wider community. Through working with local organisations and engaging directly with the community, Bekki and the AML team identified barriers that prevented people from accessing enjoyable, inclusive, and fun activities. AML was therefore created to remove these obstacles, providing recreational, wellness, and movement-based sessions that welcome older adults, adults with disabilities, those with long-term health conditions, and anyone seeking connection and wellbeing, helping everyone feel part of a supportive, active, and engaging community. - For Parkinson's Disease | Adults Move Lincs
Movement to Music for Parkinson's Movement to Music for Parkinson’s – Funded by Parkinson’s UK From November 2023 to May 2024, we were proud to deliver Movement to Music for Parkinson’s—a community-based project generously funded by Parkinson’s UK. The initiative was designed to enhance the physical, emotional, and social well-being of people living with Parkinson’s in the South Holland area. Thanks to this funding, we were able to establish and run a weekly movement class in Holbeach, tailored specifically to the needs and abilities of individuals with Parkinson’s. The programme reached approximately 20 participants, fostering connection, confidence, and improved mobility. Importantly, the grant also supported the training of a new instructor, ensuring the sustainability of the sessions beyond the initial funding period. To extend the project’s reach and long-term impact, recorded sessions and exercise videos are now permanently available below, providing ongoing support and accessibility for people living with Parkinson's Disease. While there was already clear evidence of the need for this type of service in our area, the project also highlighted the deeper barriers faced by people living with Parkinson’s. Many participants shared challenges around transport and maintaining independence, alongside a lack of accessible mental health support. To help address these ongoing barriers, we created free YouTube videos which can be accessed via the link below. We now offer private at-home sessions within the South Holland area — fully tailored to each individual’s needs, schedule, and abilities. We also provide private sessions for organisations supporting people with Parkinson’s , ensuring that more people can access the benefits of movement and connection, wherever they are. - Perinatal Power Circle | Adults Move Lincs
Supporting mothers who are pregnant and/or have a baby under 2 Perinatal Power Circle Supporting mother's who are pregnant and/or have a baby under 2. The Perinatal Power Circle is a supportive community designed to nurture mental health and wellbeing through every stage of the perinatal journey — from pregnancy to early parenthood. Our project includes a welcoming Facebook group, regular meet-ups at local cafés, wellbeing workshops and classes where parents and parents-to-be can connect, share and find calm together. In November, we’re excited to launch Pregnancy Yoga and Mother & Baby Yoga classes to help new and expectant parents care for their bodies and minds in a gentle, supportive space. Our aim is simple: to reduce isolation, build community and support mental health during this precious — and often challenging — time of life. We’re currently seeking funding to help us grow this work, reach more families and offer even more free and low-cost opportunities to connect, rest and recharge. Together, we’re building a circle of support — because no one should feel alone on this journey. 💛 Join the Facebook Group
