  • Sense in Motion | Adults Move Lincs

Sense in Motion Diamondz School of Dance & Adults Move Lincolnshire are collaborating to facilitate ‘Sense in Motion’ - A 16 week dance project working with individuals with SEND & their support workers at Sense Centre Pinchbeck, creating a creative movement piece that includes everyone. This project was funded by a local Co-op. It has been filmed, edited and ended in a cinema-style sharing in September 2023. We have seen huge benefits to the participants, from increased mobility to focused engagement they do not always have in other activities. Dance is not only a form of physical exercise, but a creative outlet, enabling participants to express themselves and their emotions.

  • Socialise & Mobilise | Adults Move Lincs

Socialise and Mobilise Socialise and Mobilise – Funded by South Holland District Council In 2023, we were invited by the Communities Team at South Holland District Council to deliver a series of funded seated exercise classes within sheltered accommodation centres across the district. The initiative, titled Socialise and Mobilise, was developed in response to the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, which had left many communal spaces underused and residents experiencing increased isolation. The aim of the project was twofold: to improve the physical health and mobility of older adults, and to provide meaningful opportunities for social connection. The sessions offered a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment where participants could move, laugh, and connect with others in their community. To date, we have delivered sessions in seven sheltered housing centres and have since extended our sessions to reach other community spaces and retirement complexes. We are proud to have played a role in reactivating these vital community spaces and fostering wellbeing, connection, and joy among residents. Session Timetable Monday Afternoon - Spalding: Swallows Court 2 (Private for residents only) Tuesday 10:30am - Gosberton Risegate: St Gilbert & St Hugh Church Hall - OPEN TO ALL - Book Now Wednesday Afternoon - Spalding: Georgian Court (Private for residents only) Friday Afternoon - Spalding: Swallows Court 1 (Private for residents only)
