Adults Move Lincolnshire is a not-for-profit organisation based in Spalding dedicated to helping adults access movement, improve wellbeing, and feel connected. At the heart of our work is the belief that everyone deserves welcoming, inclusive spaces to move, connect, and be part of a community.

Our Vision, Mission & Values

Our Vision

A Lincolnshire where every adult has the opportunity to move, connect, and feel part of a community.

Our Mission

To deliver accessible, inclusive activities that improve wellbeing, foster social connection, and empower adults to enjoy movement.

Our Values

  • Inclusivity – Everyone is welcome, whatever their ability or background.

  • Wellbeing – Supporting physical, mental, and social health through movement.

  • Community – Creating spaces where adults can connect, share, and belong.

  • Empowerment – Helping people gain confidence and independence through active participation.

What's Important to Us

At Adults Move Lincolnshire, we are guided by the things that matter most to the communities we serve:

Listening to the Needs of the Community
We take time to understand the people we work with, ensuring our activities meet their needs and make a real difference.

Using Community Spaces and Buildings
We bring movement and wellbeing activities into local spaces, making them accessible, welcoming, and part of everyday life.

Breaking Barriers to Access

We problem-solve and adapt our sessions to remove obstacles, so everyone can participate regardless of ability, background, or circumstance.

Working with Organisations that Share Our Values
Collaboration is key. We partner with groups who are equally committed to inclusion, wellbeing, and community connection.

Highlighting and Advocating for Diverse Communities
We actively promote awareness and understanding of the needs of all adults, celebrating diversity and ensuring their voices are heard.

Adults Move Lincolnshire (AML) was founded by Bekki in April 2021 and became a CIC in April 2023, continuing to operate today with a focus on creating inclusive, accessible movement opportunities for adults across Lincolnshire. AML was born in response to the social isolation and mental and physical health challenges many adults experienced following the Covid-19 pandemic, combined with a perceived lack of local activities for young adults and the wider community. Through working with local organisations and engaging directly with the community, Bekki and the AML team identified barriers that prevented people from accessing enjoyable, inclusive, and fun activities. AML was therefore created to remove these obstacles, providing recreational, wellness, and movement-based sessions that welcome older adults, adults with disabilities, those with long-term health conditions, and anyone seeking connection and wellbeing, helping everyone feel part of a supportive, active, and engaging community.
